JILLIAN BULLOCK (Screenwriter, Director, Producer)
Jillian is a screenwriter, producer, and an award-winning filmmaker. While in college, she worked as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal . After graduation from La Salle University in 1991, Jillian began her filmmaking career with an internship on the set of Spike Lee's movie, “Malcolm X .” She has gone on to produced short films, a documentary called “A Filmmaker’s Personal Journey ,” which won the Mickey Michaux Award, and one feature film entitled “Spirit,” which involved boxing, wrestling and martial arts. Since then Jillian has won additional awards for film projects and for her involvement in the film community in Philadelphia.
She has sold two scripts in her career so far “ The Champion Inside” and “Scar Across My Heart.” Since 2007, Jillian has been a screenwriting judge for the Set in Philadelphia Screenwriting contest, which is sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. Jillian stepped away from filmmaking for roughly 10 years to concentrate on writing her memoir, HERE I STAND, which was published in 2012.
With Jillian’s extensive background in boxing and martial arts, (she has two black belts, one in Tae Kwon Do and the other in Wing Chun), she currently trains in Muay Thai and boxing. Jillian’s first fitness book, Fitness Between the Sheets , will be published in the fall of 2016.
Jillian is the CEO/President of Jillian Bullock Enterprises, LLC an empowerment and entertainment production company based in PA. She is the writer, director, producer, and fight choreographer for “A Sense of Purpose: Fighting For Our Lives.”
DELAYNE POWE (Producer/Product Placement Manager)
Delayne Powe has been Jillian Bullock’s producing partner for the past 20 years. They first met at Blockbuster Video, (when there were video stores), as Assistant Managers, and quickly developed a bond over their love of movies. Within the next year, they started a production company, Jaguar Productions, Inc., after Jillian wrote her first script “Totally Wicked.” The low-budget film was just a stepping stone to get their feet wet in the film business and they learned a lot, the good, the bad, and the ugly of filmmaking. They went on to produce “A Filmmaker’s Personal Journey,” “Spirit,” and other short videos and films.
When Jillian and Delayne are between projects, Delayne works at Jillian Bullock Enterprises, LLC as a publicist. She has been instrumental in getting Jillian media coverage in local and national newspapers, magazines, radio, and on TV programs.
Delayne is the Vice President of Jillian Bullock Enterprises, LLC. She is a producer and product placement manager on the film.
LAMONT FOUNTAIN (Producer/Director of Photography/Editor)
When Lamont Fountain was ten years old he discovered music by playing his grandfather’s piano. Through the years, he also taught himself how to play guitar and drums. Eventually, Lamont would go on to become a music producer, and he has worked with mega producers like Scott Storch, Vidal Davis and Andre Harris. He produced a local hip hop group who would go on tour with The Roots. Lamont also he wrote and produced music for the hit CBS show “Hack.”
In 2005, Lamont began studying film and cinema, researching psychology and the language of film for a documentary about religious cults he was making. In 2011, he was hired to create all of the media for startup organic fertilizer company Envirokure, which consisted of three corporate promotional videos, logo and promotional literature. In 2015, Lamont directed and edited the music video and short for James Knight’s “Abandoned.” In the first two weeks of the release the video received over 23,000 views. In 2016, the music video was nominated, and won, best music video at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. He also won best music video at the 2016 Ocktober Film Festival in New York.
Lamont will serve as the Director of Photography, Editor and Producer on “A Sense of Purpose: Fighting For Our Lives.”
